THE “FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENTS IN ROMANIA” PROJECT

Project objectives aimed to present the evolution of the foreign direct investments (FDI) in Romania; to identify the type of FDI attracted in Romania, compared to other countries from the region; and to evaluate the level of competitiveness for Romania, in order to determine what kind of FDI can be attracted further.

The project was carried out in collaboration with the “Council of Foreign Investors” Association, between November 2019 and March 2020 and was launched in April 2021.THE “FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENTS IN ROMANIA” PROJECT

Proiectul a vizat prezentarea evoluției investițiilor străine directe (ISD) în România, identificarea tipului de ISD atrase comparativ cu țările din regiune și evaluarea nivelului de competitivitate al României pentru a stabili ce fel de ISD pot fi atrase în continuare.

Proiectul s-a desfășurat în colaborare cu Asociația „Consiliul Investitorilor Străini”, în perioada noiembrie 2019 – martie 2020 și a fost lansat în luna aprilie 2021.

EFFECTIVE METHODS AND PRACTICES FOR DEVELOPING FINANCIAL EDUCATION IN COUNTRIES WITH LOW FINANCIAL LITERACY

The project took place during 2019-2020 and it evaluated the situation of financial education in different countries, including Romania, as well as the impact of financial education on the access to the financial market and on the development of the financial-banking system.

At the same time, the project analyzed the degree of literacy of students of economic sciences in Romania based on a questionnaire.


RESTART THE ECONOMY PROJECT. MEASURES TO COMBAT THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL EFFECTS OF COVID 19 IN ROMANIA. SECTORAL AND CROSS-SECTIONAL ANALYSIS OF THE ECONOMY

The project won the Excellence Award for the best research team in 2020, awarded at the Excellence Gala of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.

“The study is particularly valuable and relevant because the Restart team worked together using intelligence, team spirit, enthusiasm and passion. Based on it, we can further develop studies that can help public policies or private operators’ decisions, but also write good quality articles in prestigious journals or improve teaching activities. This prize is an award given to an interdisciplinary research team, which was born out of the need to analyze the impact of the pandemic and to find scientifically based solutions to the economic and social problems of this period.”

THE MODECON PROJECT – ANALYSIS MODELS OF THE EVOLUTION OF THE ROMANIAN ECONOMY

Through this project, the Bucharest University of Economic Studies aimed to provide a relevant position regarding the economic processes that are transforming Romania’s economy internally and the implications of these transformations for enterprises, institutions, industries, employment, production, trade, and economic growth.
